At a BIS forum event on 9th December 2013, Matthew Hancock MP, Minister of State for Skills and Enterprise, encouraged use of the BASDA Interoperability Charter & electronic Utilities billing.
The event, ‘Creating an Interoperable Ecosystem for Government & Business’ aimed to identify a pragmatic way forward on interoperability to deliver real benefits to business and the wider public sector through the adoption of e-invoicing.
The next UKNeF meeting, on Monday 3rd February, will work towards plans for HM Government adoption of e-procurement and e-invoicing, with the aim of removing barriers to implementation.
The BASDA Interoperability Charter has been proposed as the basis for a supplier charter.
